原本许知远是个知识分子，读过很多书，写过一些书。过去几年许知远开始尝试新的工作内容，通过《十三邀》采访了很多我也很关注的人，去过很多地方旅行，合伙开了书店，创业搞单向空间。这本书是他在各种琐碎的间隙，抑或是安静的夜里写的很短的随笔。按照他自己的话说，像是经营公司，抑或是《十三邀》这样的音像作品，总感觉是剪辑师导演等的作品，没有文字，他作为作家，自己没有一个安全感。于是总是多少“偷偷摸摸”写一点儿。至于出版的理由，许知远也有自己的幽默：「我觉得这些文字有些还是不成熟的，并不能代表的最好水平。奈何我的编辑总是热情的夸赞，我没把持住。」（大概这个意思）。

我需要承认，是焦虑和时间的紧迫感让我更喜爱阅读《游荡集》这样的随笔册子：在十分钟内就能跟着许知远去接触一个人，去体验一个异国的城市，去旁观一段明治维新或洋务运动的历史。这本书满足了我一种内在的迫切，让我能够看到比网络上的评论更加睿智的观点，能够知晓单纯刷手机无法感受到的历史宏观，能够引用各种亲历者才能说出的感受。阅读他描写姜文的文字，让我就像是在一张桌子上参与姜文和许知远尬聊一样。虽然我也购买了《经济与社会》、《生活与命运》，但是要翻开实在是太有压迫感了。

嘛，没什么不好。读这本书让我觉得挺开心的。
