• Vineet Kumar wrote to share a loop vectorizer prototype based on the RISC-V Vector Extension which attracted a lot of discussion, wih Sjoerd Meijer suggesting looking at the get.active.lane.mask intrinsic.

• David Sherwood suggests introducing the concept of invalid costs to the IR cost model. This wrapper class could safely indicate information such as whether the cost should be considered so expensive so as to disable optimisations, or if the cost us unknown.

• A range of fixes and improvements were made to the RISC-V backend's support for the yet-to-be-ratified bitmanip extension. d47300f, 0122a4e, cc3bf27, and more. 简而言之就是 Craig 开始「游览」RISC-V 后端并看到bug就随手提patch。把节奏一下子提起来了。

• 刷屏的大消息就是有了据说最低 100 块人民币的 RISC-V 开发板了。 全志（allwinner）和 Sispeed 推出，搭载阿里巴巴平头哥的 XuanTie RISC-V 芯片， 价格最便宜 12.5 美刀起步。 这是今年的 RISC-V 的重大利好消息。要起飞了。 等大规模铺货了买100套先，线下培训活动可以搞起来了。

副标题：菜鸟都能看懂数字背后的秘密

本期的推荐看起来比较无聊。嗯，不过这本书已经是同类型书里面写的最有趣和直白的一批了。我们 OSDT 社区是编译领域的工程师八卦吐槽的社区，财务报表乍看起来好像并不在日常的讨论范围。其实并不是公司老板才会看（冷知识：大部分公司老板不看或看不懂财务报表——当然经营好坏就随缘了）。每个家庭都是一个财务单位，如果是刚毕业的小伙伴，那么自己就是一个独立的财务单位。每一笔收入是存起来还是消费掉、是用储蓄买东西还是用贷款买东西、手头的短期存款是否能够应付疫情带来的突然失业，等等等等都需要有一个会计的基本知识。这本书最大的方便，就是用一个水果铺子作为例子贯穿始终，介绍了财务四张表的概念和作用。我们谁都在水果铺子买过水果，肯定能够理解和感受到水果铺子老板的日常。

本书对于初学者最大的 takeaway，小编1号觉得就是让我们知道，账面上有钱并不表示真的有钱。现金流才是重要的血液。如果在家庭现金收入不多的时候进行大宗消费（买房），那么在类似新冠期间，家庭的现金流可能就会出大问题。
