心理学和经济学，这两大学科由于在大众中普及的成功的同时，也往往被大众所轻视。巧合的是，这两个学科都是偏「软」科学的学科，在实验和实证研究上，前人研究人员都进行了大量的努力。
2020年了，人人都有手机，每天都要接触很多信息，记住很多新的知识。这些知识多数都是二手甚至N手编辑的信息，用几十秒的时间掌握一个打了引号的“知识”。
这样的信息方式是存在问题的：人接触信息的时候如果不刻意记忆，会忽略掉信息的来源和出处，仅仅记忆住结论（听起来合理，大家都很忙，不是么）。这个小小的心理学实验结论，能够跟当下魔幻的各个社会的现实联系起来进行（部分的）社会现象的解释。而更加重要和基础的结论，在历史上都有着著名的实验引出或佐证。《改变心理学的40项研究》从实验的构思、设计、执行、总结反思的角度对心理学的几个主要的方面进行了有趣的观察。
本书并不需要有心理学知识，适合所有高中及以上的朋友阅读。更为重要的，小编1号鼓励各位阅读本书的收益在于，建立批判思维的能力。当有人告诉你一个结论、一个知识的时候，不要着急记忆下来。而是去思考这个结论何以得出？例如我们都知道的条件反射、习得性无助、以及著名的斯坦福监狱实验，具体的实验是如何设计的？当时是希望研究什么和什么的关系？实验在不同的人种、不同的民族具有可复制性么？
另，如果对于生理学研究不感兴趣，可以从第三章开始看起，会有比较有意思的实验，跟你过去的生物学知识能接上。
