最近比较喜欢读这样风格的故事，从日常的生活出发，读起来没有什么知识的压力，同时又好像能够穿越到漫长的人类历史，在不同的文明史之间来回穿梭尝鲜。故事化的讲述也是人类刻在骨子里的舒适。这本书的作者从日常的食物开始，杂糅了食物作为物种的进化，以及作为工业化大规模生产的历程。

不过，请注意，口述历史和通过构造故事构建的历史，并不能够代表科学和历史上的真实，甚至也不能表示基础常识的准确无误。如果有兴趣转述相关的内容的话，还是需要先进行一些搜索，交叉的验证下这些说法是否有另外的可靠信息来源。毕竟，这不是严谨的学术著作，还是趣味性为主的。
