强烈推荐的一本书。可以说在多个维度都详细的展开了我自己狭隘的历史观。中国是如何从一个没有统一的货币发行（也就更不要提货币政策）的区域变成一个统一国家货币并且（在一段时间内）有效的平稳了物价和汇率的，这是在1931-1937年间发生的事情，完全无法想象，竟然做到了。

阅读本书，我总是自然的想起去年在网络上被矫情地提起的所谓“垃圾时间”，再一次的确认到前人的坚韧和强大。在清末到民国初期，长江流域的民族企业家们不仅努力的在筹集资金建立棉纺、缫丝产业，甚至已经深深的嵌入到了全球贸易体系之中。江浙企业家的融资压力直接受影响于欧美在金银不同本位价格上的波动、甚至由于铜价的起伏，与印度纱的竞争优势时起时伏。

有太多细节，书中作者只是三两行描述百年前的一个常识，但是就足以突然在我的脑袋上开了一个洞似的，让一束新的光照到了我的脑子里。例如清末的江浙农民在织布的时候，经线和纬线分别使用的是印度的纱和国内本土出产的纱；江浙太湖区域的养蚕农民卖出的蚕丝，与日本丝竞争欧洲和北美市场。这种全球化进入农民家庭的深入程度，是我过去从未思考过的。这种无知导致了对前人的智慧的忽视，进而对于前人在当时环境中的决策没有足够的敬畏，以傲慢一笔带过，将不了解历史的自己放在了风流人物的位置，仿佛自己遇到的都是人类几百年未有的困境。翻开历史书卷，前人已经给出了错题本和参考答案。

另，本书相对严谨，超过200页，更像是一个博士的课题论文，参考文件很多，有兴趣额读者可以举一反三，将参考文献也挑一些阅读。历史往往留在一页一页的年鉴统计和公司资产表中。
