当我们阅读历史的时候，往往是在百年或十年的尺度上高高的俯瞰，对事件中的人物有一些标签化的结论。《东方历史评论（第1辑）》将我一下子拽进了百年前的中国，深入到细节之中，用几十页的篇幅，去描绘当时宋教仁遇刺前后，社会的种种猜测和反应，所有相关人士的拉扯和自我辩护。真实感一下子冲击了过来。

不管是当下还是百年之前，当身处在事件之中的时候，人总是会问，“如果当时事情走向是A而不是B，那么未来是不是会有不一样？”。然而历史没有如果，一切都坚定的向前，不顾个人认为的好与坏。
