首先需要提醒的是，小编并不推荐作者的观点和结论。这是差不多正好一百多年前写出来的书，当时的中国内忧外患，作为一个早期熟读各种传统、后来广泛学习西方知识的年轻人，要用什么样的姿态去直面这个世界，是一个必须要向自身回答的问题。梁启超年纪轻轻，机缘巧合遇到了康有为，又阴差阳错地被卷入权力的中心、进而又迅速的被推到权力的对立面。流亡日本之后继续投身新闻业，影响了接近一代中国试图改变国运的读书人。

这本商务印书馆的版本刊印了原版（还有白话翻译版，没看过所以暂不推荐），阅读百年前的文字需要放慢眼睛的速度，一个字一个字的看，停顿之不同，看进去之后便能体会到作者落笔时的抑扬顿挫，甚至会不经意的念出来。我在阅读的时候有两个问题始终在我脑中敲打：第一，如果是我，那么会有什么样的观点可以论述？第二，当今2020之后的国际形势变化，较之于1900是否有某些相似之处，是否又到了“百年未有之大变局”的时刻？
