这本书不是一本可以快速阅读的书。手绘的图很多。每一页都非常有意思。作者是一个表面死板书呆子下，闷骚有趣的灵魂，而且画风特别逗。作者一开始是一个跑野外科考、希望发现新生物的研究生，不知怎么的跑到了一个地方开始（按照普通人的视角）平平淡淡的过日子。不知怎的周围的小朋友就开始把路上和学校里见到的昆虫尸体拿来送给作者解剖和研究。作者没有怎么拒绝，就慢慢的变成了一个技艺还行的铅笔画家（bushi）。

我很喜欢这本书的风格。是夏天懒散的味道，树荫下蹲着看成群的蚂蚁舔舐掉下来的雪糕水、丢给它们面包屑，转头却又一泡尿得意洋洋把蚂蚁大军冲散的童年夏天。当然作者并没有在书中声明或承认自己干过这样的事情 —— 我也不承认 —— 当你在无聊的午后，拿起这本有趣而无用的书，或许能笑得多出一斤汗。

最后，中文翻译很雅致，或许能欺骗更多读者购买（是真的捡尸体哦）。
